IYL 2015

2015 Year of Light has been a busy year. In 2015 I could focus on solo projects: art installations and architectural projections. Here is a sub-site with the projects in 2015: http://bordos.eu/iyl2015.htm

ESCAPE – projection on the facade of St. Ludmila Church by Bordos.ArtWorks / SIGNAL FESTIVAL 2015 Prague

ESCAPE – an artwork by László Zsolt Bordos / alias Bordos.ArtWorks on the facade of the St. Ludmilla Church in Prague. Commissioned by the SIGNAL Festival 2015.
”Escape” is a kind of Ars Poetica of the artist, compiling figurative content with abstract visuals, with a heavy tone music of the great Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson. Beside avoiding cliches, the artwork is aiming to approach 3d mapping content in a different way and to generate feelings trough digital art.

100 YEARS ANNIVERSARY OF THE PALACE OF CULTURE TARGU MURES, ROMANIA

The story was inspired by the beautiful stained glass inside the Palace. Especially the legend of Kata Kadar who drown in a lake. During this projection we remembered her and revived her up for a moment. The great music of Arvo Pärt was a great inspiration as well.

All those who would like to have a wonderful evening are welcome to visit the castle and it’s surroundings. After dark, an artistic video mapping show will be projected every day, each hour !  More info coming soon on:  http://www.bredakastely.hu

Bordos.ArtWorks is the artist name of László Zsolt Bordos, a 3d artist living in Budapest, Hungary. He started as a VJ, performing in the underground party culture of Budapest, since year 2000. He studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest and at MediaLab UIAH (University of Art and Design) in Helsinki. With the time his artist name became a famous company in Hungary, Bordos.ArtWorks – http://bordos.eu -.  With his early 3d-vjing and outrageous video projections, including his first videomapping project made at Heavent Paris in 2007, he became a pioneer of the genre. Since year 2006 he is working together with Ivó Kovács – http://ivo3d.hu and year by year the team grew. Since 2010 the projects are running under the name: Bordos.ArtWorks and invited artists: Ivó Kovács, Daniel Szalkó, etc… Nowadays, beside vj-ing and 3d art, Bordos.ArtWorks and invited artists are internationally recognized as eminent representatives of video projection mapping.
